So we're putting away some of Bailey's stuff. Not throwing it away, just washing her dishes and putting them in a box with her toys and storing it in the basement for the time being.

As we're doing this, we hear a horrendous noise coming from the basement. Our washing machine decided to take a crapper at that very moment.

She's a brat from Doggy Heaven. lmao. God love her.

I refuse to part w/Melody's stuff too. Her dishes are in the attic, and all her leashes/collars/whatnot are still in the storage box w/all the other dog stuff we use for Bruno.

How are you today? I hope you're doing allright. *hug*

Much much better. It was a rough morning, but it's getting easier as the day goes on. Ups and downs...you know how it goes. I'm sure it will be this way for the next few weeks. It's odd not seeing her places I would normally see her, like sleeping in the hallway. It's just weird. So much of our life revolved around her, especially in the last 6 months or so.

I haven't done shit today. I thought I would be a cleaning machine, but I just haven't hit that point yet. Putting away things little by little. I haven't touched her bed yet or her food.

We had her cremated, so when we get her ashes back, we'll get a nice doggy urn and have a little memorial set up with pictures and her collar, etc. Her doggy bed is huge, and Nick said something about throwing it away, but I can't imagine I can do that. I'll store it, too, I'm sure.

I hope Miss Booful was waiting for her and is showing her the ropes. Bailey was a bit timid sometimes, so I imagine she needed some furry friends to help her not be so shy. :)

I'm sure she is. Melody was a pure lover, with people and with other dogs. I'm sure they made fast friends!! :-)
