This was the temperature as I was driving to work this morning. That's the base temp, not taking into consideration the wind chill.






Yeah, this shit can go away now.

My poor doggy. Last night she was "doing her business" and trying to lift her paws. I thought she was having a seizure the way she was moving around. I finally ran out there and picked her up and carried her inside. Guess what? She didn't make one single mess outside overnight. I think her insides froze up.

I don't know what's more unbelievable.. that it's -20 without windchill, or that you went outside in that weather!!

Most of the schools in the 'burbs are closed, but there would have to be a natural disaster for Chicago Public to close their schools. Surprisingly, there are a ton of people at work today. Honestly, though, it's just miserable. This is why I don't complain when it's 100 degrees because I'll take heat any day over this cold!!

Amen. As my Daddy used to say (and still sometimes does) I'd rather be sweatin' bullets than freezing my ass off.

That made me burst out laughing. I'm so glad no one's near the window right now. :-) Ain't fit out for man nor beast, huh? Stupid cold.
